The final contender for the PokeCommunity May 2015 Hack of the Month is another crossover game called Fire Emblem: Bloodlines, developed by user GhastStation. GastStation is a seasoned developer on the Serene Forest forums who migrated to PokeCommunity due to the Fire Emblem hacking community being on its “last legs.”. A fan-made prequel to the popular Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword (FE7), Fire Emblem: Immortal Sword (FE7x) is the tale of a vast conspiracy to throw the world of Elibe into chaos, and of three young leaders caught in its wake. A tale of questionable alliances, political intrigue, and the confusion of conflict. Follow a cast of your favorite characters in a brand new adventure, as.

GastStation is a seasoned developer on the Serene Forest forums who migrated to PokeCommunity due to the Fire Emblem hacking community being on its “last legs.” It’ll be interesting to see what happens…
The first thing I noticed is that this game is… really not a Pokemon game at all. GastStation developed this game on the FE7 engine, so the gameplay will probably be strange to players who are not experienced with the Fire Emblem series. However, GastStation promises that this hack is at least partly-inspired by Pokemon and defends its relevancy on these forums…
Story
In Bloodlines, you play as Bram, “an aloof young man chased by his past.” Together with Dewey (a magic puppy) and Malcolm (an anthropomorphic crow), you journey across the land of Massias to do… something…?
Apparently, the antropomorphic crows once ruled the land, but then humans took over and messed everything up (like humans do). Malcolm wants to “repatriate” his land, and I guess Bram and Dewey are helping him (although their motives aren’t made clear in the thread).
Graphic and Gameplay
Being developed on the FE7 engine, Bloodlines does not look or play like a Pokemon game at all. Overworld graphics are very Final Fantasy 6-ish and detailed front sprites of the characters pop on-screen when they are engaged in conversation (a trend in Japanese gaming that I find distracting and unnecessary).
Gameplay seems really cool. The animations are beautiful and fluid, and the turn-based system seems exciting and addictive. However, it is glaringly not like Pokemon at all.
This is another situation where I’m puzzled why it was included in the Hack of the Month contest. I guess we’ll never know!

Fire Emblem: Crossover Hack 2.0
This game takes place in Elibe, the world that we get to know in Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. As the name implies, this is a crossover, which means that the player will be able to find different characters from every single Fire Emblem game that has been created until now (including all the protagonists of each game and some of their companions, as well as a couple of characters from Tear Ring Saga, a game very similar to Fire Emblem). However, it goes further than that: this game has a story of its own. At first, it follows some details and events of the original Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword but eventually, a brand new story begins. You'll discover a great number of original characters, both recruitable and enemies. But the changes don't end there: you'll discover new classes, new weapons, new maps, totally new support conversations and dialogues, animations and music ported from other games.
We hope as a team that you, the player of our hack, have a fun time playing it, helping the Fire Emblem heroes to defeat evil forces once more. The game is currently in development and its release date is yet to be decided.
